When we find ourselves surrounded by people constantly, it is a good idea to rid yourself of all that extra energy. Human beings absorb energy unintentionally. So, in Mumbai it is very rare to find an area out in nature or in the city that doesn’t have other people in it. Luckily, for you, with meditation you can tune out others while cleansing yourself of all that unneeded energy.
If you are in a crowded area and finding that you have suddenly taken on irritation or short-temperedness, find a place to sit down. Cross your legs, if possible. If not, just place your hands on your knees. Take a moment to find where you are in your breath. Take a couple minutes and really focus on your breath. If you are in a space where you feel comfortable, close your eyes. Try slowing your breath down. You can repeat breathing in and out for as less than 5 minutes.
You will be amazed at the difference that this will make in cleaning all that unwanted energy off of you - even in the most crowded of places.
